Vacuum fastening
Vacuum fastening is based on exhausting air from an artificially created space between the tool shank and spindle cone. In addition to enhancing the fastening repeatability, this method reliably indicates (to the operator) dirt occurrence between the tool shank and spindle cone, or mechanical damage of the shank or spindle cone. Under these circumstances, the vacuum fastening is not fully functional. When ordering the vacuum fastening, it is important to state the type and serial number of the instrument.
